.wav to mp3 conversion

Anyone know of any decent software for batch converting .wav files to .mp3 format?

I just downloaded some software but it seems to have cropped the files, first couple of seconds have gone!!

If you still have trouble,just burn the wavs to disc & then upload them from the disc as mp3's.It gives you a nice back-up disc that way.
